The Academy Our Academy offers a variety of music instruction. Suzuki violin, Suzuki viola, Suzuki cello, traditional strings, classical voice, piano, guitar, flute, recorder, clarinet and saxophone lessons are all available at Bravura Music. 90% of our string students are Suzuki taught. Students attend a weekly Master class lesson as well as a weekly Repertoire Group class. Children will be grouped by their age and skill level. In keeping with the Suzuki philosophy, we place a huge emphasis on reviewing old repertoire in order to develop technique and strong playing, a tremendous value on listening to repertoire and the utmost importance on parent involvement in each child's learning. All Suzuki repertoire is memorized for group. Students who are working on pieces but who haven't put it to memory, will be encouraged to follow along and learn by watching the other's example. This weekly encouragement may be just what is needed to motivate your youngster. Pieces outside the Suzuki Repertoire are often given and used as group studies or taught in order to be presented as concert pieces.
Your child will be assigned a Group Letter and will remain in this group until recommended otherwise.
